Join Bill Corbett, editor of an autobiography by former long-time Hagar (Michigan) township resident T.C. “Cy” Corbett, at the Author Fair at the Lincoln Township Library, Stevensville, on June 12, from 6-7:30 p.m. The autobiography, The Drums of War, describes the author’s difficult return to civilian life after flight training during WWI, where he experienced sixteen forced landings and one bad crash. “Cy” Corbett, as he was known locally, was owner Corbett’s Cottages, a summer resort on Lake Michigan from 1944 until his death in 1976. Prior to that, he was a writer and editor for the Chicago Tribune. Editor of the book, Bill Corbett, of Traverse City, is the youngest son of the author, and a 1965 graduate of St. Joseph Catholic High School.
