Dr. Kimberly Beck Hieb
Dr. Kimberly Beck Hieb serves as an associate professor of music history at West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Texas, where she teaches undergraduate music history and appreciation courses, research methods and writing courses, and topical graduate seminars. She regularly presents and publishes research on music of seventeenth-century Austria, music history pedagogy, and American women’s music clubs, symphonies, and symphonic works of the twentieth century. She is the host of Classical Music Amarillo, a weekly radio show broadcast on High Plains Public Radio that features recordings of performances in the Texas Panhandle, and gives pre-concert talks for both The Amarillo Symphony and Chamber Music Amarillo. She lives in Amarillo, Texas, with her pilot husband, four kiddos, and their German Shorthaired Pointer.
